I love spring: The temperature is rising up, sun is shinning and my tomatoes love it! They are growing like crazy:)

I love tomatoes in all shapes and colours. If you have garden you are lucky as you can grow any variety you like even the giant ones! But you can easily grow them on your windowsill too or on your terrace.

This year I chose tomato ‘Tumbler’! I will enjoy them cascading down from the pots. What are you going to grow? Maybe ‘OSU’ black to make everyone WOW, ‘Tiny Tim’ to pick them straight from your window and pop into your salad, or ‘ Omar Lebanese’ with fruits so big you can share one between few family members:) Check out www.growyoursecretgarden.com for a wide range of different varieties and Bon Appétit!

How to grow tumbling tomatoes from home?

What you will need:

-Tumbling tomato seeds (‘OSU’ black, ‘Tiny Tim’ or ‘Omar Lebanese’ varieties work well)
-Fresh compost or coir pellets
-Small flower pots (I recommend using biodegradable pots you can replant easily outdoors or in a bigger pot later, but any pot will do, even a plastic cup as in the photo!)
-A mini greenhouse or propagator (optional, but recommended to promote better germination)
-A sunny windowsill

You can get started easily by covering two seeds per pot with 1.5mm of soil and water lightly with a fine spray or watering can.

Keep in your propagator until they outgrow the space, in a sunny area or windowsill.

Remember to the soil moist, but be careful not to over-water or you will develop mould. The propagator will help keep the moisture and provide a constant temperature.

Tomato seeds usually germinate in 7 to 14 days, and you can transplant the tomato seedlings as soon as they’re big enough to handle into larger pots!
